November/Kickstarter
Hey Friends and Neighbors
There is a lot going on this month. The first thing is that Thanksgiving weekend, November 25th and 26th, I will be appearing at the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield California. The difference in this gig is that my Grassy Knoll Boys won’t be with me but I will be fronting Buck Owens’ Buckaroos. It’s really a great honor and a helluva lot of fun. We’ll be doing classic country, a lot of Buck Owens and other Bakersfield music and a few old BR songs to boot. So if you’re in the area, come on by and do a little honky tonkin’!
The other huge thing is that on November 8th I’ll be launching a Kickstarter campaign. Kickstarter is a arts fundraising website that allows artists to raise money to complete their projects through contributions from fans, family and whoever looks at their Kickstarter page and digs what they’re trying to accomplish. My new record of classic country songs “Back At The Quonset Hut” is due out in February. I recorded it last November at the old Bradley Studio (nicknamed the Quonset Hut) The Hut was the first studio on Music Row here in Nashville. It’s been closed for years but has recently re-opened as a learning studio for Belmont University students. I recorded it with the Grassy Knoll Boys plus members of the Nashville A Team a group of studio musicians that recorded most all of the country hits of the 1950s and 60s. There are even guest stars on this one. I filmed the whole weekend of sessions and now I need money to complete it so that I may include it in the package in February.
Go to this link to learn all about it.
I hope you all can see it in your heart to make a little contribution. I only have 30 days to make my goal of $10,000 so tell everyone who may be interested in the concept to hit my Kickstarter site.
Thanks All!
CM

absolutely awesome, wish I could be there to hear you with Bucks band. BTW you killed at the Rodeo Bar in NYC
Hey Chuck, caught you in September at the Rodeo Bay NYC. Loved your show and you were kind enough to write a note to my friend Matt who is otherwise disposed for trying to spread some ‘enlightenment’ as you put it. I sent him your note and he WAS ABSOLUTELY STOKED and really can’t stop talking about it in every letter. So thanks for bringing so much happiness to a big fan of yours. Karen from Australia xxxx PS When are you coming over here?
