Hey, is there a great spot in your area where people appreciate a little high-powered hillbilly music and snappy stage banter? Is there a great local radio station that plays (or should play) Chuck's record?
Help Chuck out and post any info here, and he'll pass it along to the proper authorities!

Chuck needs to get down here to Central Texas, specifically the New Braunfels/San Antonio/Austin area. Would love to see him again at Gruene Hall in Gruene TX.

There's a great new venue here in Knoxville on Market Square called The Square Room & they've been hosting some killer shows lately. http://www.thesquareroom.com I'm not sure who does the booking there, maybe AC Entertainment.
Another hot new venue in Knoxville is called Southbound & it's located in The Old City. http://www.myspace.com/southboundknox Jay Campbell does the booking there.
And if they don't already have a copy of Journeyman's Wager then for the love of God somebody send one to WDVX! http://www.wdvx.com

Chuck needs to be in Springfield, IL! Contact Sean Burns through his Sangamon Valley Roots Revival organization: http://www.facebook.com/applic…..9318053299
I'd also settle for a St. Louis date!

We would love to see Chuck again in the Northwest!
SHOWS
Spokane, WA -The Blvd.
Yakima, WA- Yakima Sports Center
Seattle, WA- The Little Red Hen (Green Lake), Tractor Tavern (Ballard), Sunset Tavern Ballard (Seattle). really to many to name.
If you want some great exposure in places like Boise ID and Spokane WA ( The Knitting Factory), join up with the Reverend Horton Heat tour when he comes through. I know BR did years ago (Temporarily Disconnected time period). He brings the people in.
RADIO
I don't listen to local radio in Spokane, especially country. At home/work when I'm near the computer I listen to the greatest radio station in the world KEXP. It is broadcast in Seattle and on the Internet. They play a variety of music. On Thur nights from 6-9 Pacific Time there is a show call Swinging Doors hosted by Don Slack. I did not listen last week but the the two or three shows prior he played cuts from Chucks new album. After Chuck played in Spokane I e-mailed Mr. Slack to encourage him to hit the show in Snoqualmie WA. He was nice enough to e-mail back and tell me he didn't even no that Chuck was in the area (no show publicity). I would get a hold of him next time thru and do a live session. It is broadcast all over the world.

The best possible scenario would be here in tiny Greenville OH at our beautiful Memorial Hall…..which hasn't had a sold out show since Nickel Creek over 7 years ago.

After that, Canal Street Tavern in Dayton, BR played there years ago. I bug the owner about booking Chuck everytime I go there.

I'd love to see Chuck play at Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa, FL. It'd be worth the hour drive from where I'm at and it's a great open venue. They call it the SkipperDome.

Chuck should go on a Prairie Home Companion in St. Paul MN and the MPR radio station 89.3 the Current. If PHC is good enough for Allison Krause, it's good enough for Chuck.
Incidentally, if I were dating Chuck (which I'm not, I'm married) he would be my third boyfriend born on December 22nd! Scary.

Chuck does Prairie Home Companion fairly often doesn't he?
Also, since my recommendations last year, Southbound has folded so here's a few more…
PLEASE, ASAP, someone look into getting Chuck on a bill at The Shed in Maryville, TN (just 10 minutes south of Knoxville) – I know there's still a few dates & slots open. Both bands I work with are playing there this year & I LOVE that place! I know once Chuck gets a foot in there they'll continue to have him back. Contact Aaron Snuckals at aaron.snukals@smh-d.com
Also look into Patrick Sullivan's Saloon or Manhattan's in Knoxville's Old City – either would be perfect for Chuck. Contact Sean Blair at seanblair@patricksullivans.com, he books both places.
Other options would be Barley's Taproom in Knoxville and the Clayton Center in Maryville. Can't recommend a good way of getting in touch with Barley's but booking at the Clayton Center is done through Jessica Popek jessica.popek@claytonartscenter.com

Chuck we would love to see you back in the Northwest. Maybe Portland , Seattle , Tacoma, Yakima, Spokane, Couer d' Alene before heading off to Montana. Dylan plays Post Falls, ID Sept 1 (between Spokane and Couer d' Alene) maybe a reunion with Don . Spokane has a festival called Pig Out In The Park Sept 1-6. They have had some great acts play the past few years, Lucinda Williams, Son Volt and Alejandro Escovedo.
Good Luck

WOW, thanks Chuck. I have not been there since BR played in 2004 (formely known as Kelly's- the place has seen alot of well known country acts over the years). The band was great that night even though your equipment had been ripped off two or three nights before in Seattle or Portland. Did you guys ever recover any of that gear? I hope you can see Dylan, Mellencamp and Don the night before.
thanks
