Last week I checked the website and thought I saw a post from Chuck about recording a new album in November and heading to Europe in 2011 for MDQ work. Maybe I was dreaming. If anybody can comment please tell me.
If recording the new album is ture, I hope the Grassy Knoll Boys are part of the recording process. I like when the touring band plays on the album, it seems to give a tighter sound/less commercial. (Nothing against all the great session players of the past and present)
It would be cool to hear an album of the hillbilly/country/rock n roll gems that Chuck puts into his concerts. Maybe do a whole album of them and sell it to Starbucks to distribute in their stores. I can see the sticker on the CD, Former BR frontman and Musical director of MDQ presents the hillbilly or early rock n roll classics. Maybe a story on NPR (oopps sorry Jaun fans). No one can deliever these classics like Chuck and his band.
If the post was for real it would be awesome to have Chuck do a video update of the recording process once a week or to have a video update from Chuck in Europe.
Bottem line new album of any thing Chuck Mead, good.
