What is the story behind the Dee Ramone bass? Can anybody from the Mead camp or BR fans help me out? ( regarding the news/blog story on main page) Thanks

If you want a good rock n roll book I highly suggest I Slept With Joey Ramone : A Family Memoir. Written by Mickey Leigh with Legs McNeal. Great insights on Joey and the development of the band.

When Chuck was in town last month I ask him about the Dee Dee Ramone bass. He told me years ago a BR fan had given it to him. He said the fan had been in New York during the punk scene. This fan had either owned an apartment or managed an apartment that Dee Dee was renting. The rent was due and with no money to pay Dee Dee handed this gal the bass as payment. Cool story. If the Mead/BR fan checks in on the website it would be fun to hear her story in more detail.
